The maintenance of mouse colonies can be expensive and time consuming. TASQ offers Embryo and Sperm Freezing facilities, both of which allow indefinite cryopreservation.
Price:
- $AU 350 / line (internal)
- $AU 400 / line (external)
This price covers:
- Superovulation and mating of 15 females
- Embryo collection
- Embryo freezing
- All consumables
- First year storage
Additional Notes and Recommendations
- Heterozgous/Homozygous females can be supplied by Client at appropriate age for strain. Age of females is preferably 3-4 weeks. WT females can be supplied by TASQ at an additional cost.
- Males used as studs must be of proven fertility.
- These charges are based on embryo numbers for 15 females. As there are strain variations in response to superovulation, more than 15 females may be necessary to produce the required embryo numbers for storage. Additional charges apply.
- TASQ stores embryos in 2 separate tanks. Suggested number of embryos to freeze are: Het X WT- approx 500; Homo X WT/ Het X Homo; Homo X Homo approx 300.
